The Kafa Biosphere Reserve, located in the Kafa Zone of southwest Ethiopia, is a UNESCO-designated site renowned for its incredible biodiversity. Spanning an area of 760,114 hectares, it is a hotspot for conservation and a haven for unique flora and fauna. This reserve, often referred to as the "birthplace of coffee," is home to some of the last remaining Afromontane cloud forests and a rich variety of ecosystems, including wetlands, bamboo forests, and riverine habitats.
